This week, we will attend the 1st ITECH workshop in Brussels on Thursday 16th and 17th October 2014.
48 experts will meet during two days, in the Northern Ireland Executive Office, to discuss the findings of ITECH Phase 1 Data Collection and to plan for future developments. The following Agenda gives details of the meeting.

In addition, a series of newsletters will be produced to provide updated information to key stakeholders in an understandable manner. The communication team will produce an official template and they will be in charge of gathering content to feed this newsletter.
We propose that each member of the Project Board send information about the project progress and main news from their countries related to the ITECH project. It can be their participation to an important event, a major publication, any news that is relevant and which supports our work will be warmly welcomed!
The ITECH official leaflet is now completed and included below. The leaflet will be used in all public events (conference, meetings, workshop and exhibitions) in order to introduce the objectives, concepts and vision of ITECH along with contact details of the partners. Download it here.
A second leaflet will be produced at the end of the project which will, additionally, disseminate public results, outcomes and findings form ITECH’s research.
Chiara Strano, took up her position on the 1st September 2014 which is to lead this project to its completion. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Ferrara, Italy and a Master’s degree in European Business Law from the University of Besançon, France. She has a 7 years’ experience as Project Officer of EU Projects. Before joining INSERM, she worked at Euricse and ALDA managing several projects in the framework of 7FP, LLP, Progress programme and IPA.
A new communication manager, Juliette Thong, took up position her position on the 1st of June 2014. Her role is to work on the ITECH dissemination phase along with Norman Black, Work Package 4 leader, and Kyle Boyd, web designer. Graduated in 2012 in International Trade and specialized in communication, Juliette Thong is now in charge of coordinating logistics and internal & external communication on the ITECH project. She will be the main interlocutor in France and she can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
From 8th to 10th of September, she has visited Norman Black and Kyle Boyd in the University of Ulster. The purpose of the visit was, firstly to introduce each other and, secondly, to work on the dissemination phase of the Project. The morning was dedicated to exchange of information and ideas around communications and to establish a future work plan mainly related to the development and general updating of the website.
Kyle Boyd and Juliette Thong had the opportunity to talk about different technical aspects of the website. It was agreed that she would share administration duties and that there would be a close working agreement between them.
A number of improvements to the ITECH website that were discussed and agreed and afterwards implemented.
Régis Beuscart welcomed each Partner and other colleagues to an ITECH Project meeting in Paris on the 13th of May 2014. He announced that two new members will join his team in France to work on the ITECH project; Juliette Thong was hired on the first of June 2014 as Communication manager and Chiara Strano on the first of Setpember as, Project Manager.
Youla Karavidopoulou, from AUTH, presented the results of the data collection. A survey was created and completed by each contact nodes either offline or online. A web platform has been developed for the occasion. Data will be collected in a uniform way, funding bodies and projects, from January to April 2014. The data will be validated and consolidated in due course and presented at the ITECH Workshop in Brussels.
Data was collected form 22 countries and included 255 funding bodies .The collaboration experience with contact nodes proved been positive: not only were experts interested but they had also gathered interesting data for this phase.
Régis Beuscart had also discussed the preparation of the report for the European Commission which will be discussed during the first ITECH workshop, in October 2014. At the Workshop the contact nodes will be commended for their work and a representative from the European Commission will be invited to attend. Logistics details were discussed to organize this workshop in the best possible condition.
The meeting ended opened questions and future actions plans.

The development of a common public identity for all public communication is essential. The website has been launched in December 2013 by the dissemination team, based in the University of Ulster. A project logo was agreed at the Inaugural meeting and is being used in all documents and publications of ITECH. It represents the 5 phases, in the “idea-to-market”.
