Final event of the ITECH Project

55 experts took part to the ITECH Final event convened at the L42 Business Centre in Brussels on the 27th of January 2016.
The workshop has been an occasion for debate on the ITECH’s results between national experts, the ITECH Project Board, representatives from industry and representatives from European Parliament and European Commission.
The discussion highlighted the relevant economic and social role of health technologies and will help the ITECH Board in continuing the work with the relevant national and European authorities.

Final event of the ITECH Project

The Final event of the ITECH Project will be held on the 27th of January 2016 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Brussels (L42 Business Center, Rue de la Loi 42).
The goal through this January closure event is to present and communicate on the results of the Project towards Members of the European Parliament, European Commissioners, industrials, patient associations, all of them invited to discuss and share the ITECH vision. It is a unique opportunity to discuss with these guests on the importance of research, innovation and evaluation of health technologies through the validation of the ITECH roadmap.

This final meeting is also the opportunity to reinforce the ITECH network gathering research organizations, experts and industrials from all over Europe working in the field of health technologies and Medical Devices.

Healthcare industry actors, this workshop is for you !

The 2nd ITECH Workshop will take place in Brussels on the 26th and 27th November 2015 at the L42 Business Center, Rue de la Loi 42, Brussels.

On Thursday the meeting will start at 9 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. and will be given over to a full discussion on the proposed ITECH Roadmap and recommendations. The participation is limited to the contact nodes and experts working in with the ITECH Team on the project.

On Friday the session of work will last from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Industrials and industrial syndicates are invited for a broader discussion and validation of the most important recommendations to be transmitted to the Commission.

Third Project Board Meeting in Lille

We will welcome Niilo Saranummi, Norman Black and Nicos Maglaveras, in Lille next Monday and Tuesday, 5th and 6th !

The ITECH Partners participated in a meeting organized in Lille in the framework of the WP3 “Road mapping and recommendation”. The Partners agreed on a plan of work to complete the roadmap and prepare the recommendations that will be part of the Deliverable 3.3 “Roadmap”. This document will be analyzed and validated by the contact nodes during the 2nd ITECH workshop on the 26-27th November 2015.

A draft agenda for the workshop has been decided:

  • Placing the items on the Roadmap
  • Implementation planning for the selected items : actions, stakeholders, …
  • Sub-visions by topics and the overall ITECH vision
  • Landscape conditions by topics
  • Should we have some example scenarios?
  • To highlight the difference in pathways for ’equivalent’ and ’innovative’ products / services

WP 3 workshop in Brussels

A workshop on the framework of WP 3 “Roadmapping and Recommendations” took place in Brussels on the 2nd June 2015 and was attended by ITECH Partners, members of the Board, members of the CIC-IT Network and a representative of COCIR.
The main purpose of the workshop was to initiate the roadmapping process as part of WP 3. Niilo Saranummi, partner in charge of WP 3, led the discussion.

The Second Board Meeting in Brussels

The ITECH Board met in Brussels on 2nd June, 2015 to review the progress; consider the findings from questionnaires and interviews with stakeholders, prioritise the findings and, from the information, to plan the next steps.

The ITECH Project Coordinator, Prof. Régis Beuscart, gave and overview of the work completed to date and a summary of the results achieved, particularly in relation to WP 2.

The Project Manager, Chiara Strano, presented the periodic report submitted to the EU Commission covering the first 18 months of work. The Board noted that there had been no major deviations from the scheduled programme and that the project was on schedule.

The next phase of the project concerns WP 3 “Roadmapping and Recommendations” which has already begun with an outline plan having been agreed among the partners and additional information gathered from discussions with key stakeholders.
